Build the Future of Grant Compliance at One of the Northwest's Largest Nonprofit Organizations

For more than 130 years, YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish has worked to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Through housing, health and safety, economic advancement, and advocacy programs, we serve thousands of individuals and families across King and Snohomish counties each year.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Grant Compliance Manager who is excited by the opportunity to build—not simply maintain—a grant compliance function.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic compliance leader who enjoys creating structure, modernizing processes, strengthening internal controls, and developing scalable systems that support organizational growth. If you thrive in environments where you can assess current practices, implement improvements, and leave an organization stronger than you found it, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As our Senior Grant Compliance Manager, you will:

  • Lead and strengthen YWCA's organization-wide grant compliance program.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and private funding requirements.
  • Partner with Finance, Program Leadership, and Executive Leadership to support responsible stewardship of grant funding.
  • Develop policies, procedures, workflows, and internal controls that improve efficiency and reduce organizational risk.
  • Lead organizational readiness for Single Audits, grant monitoring, and regulatory reviews.
  • Translate complex grant regulations into practical guidance and training for staff.
  • Champion continuous process improvement across the organization.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5–7+ years of progressively responsible experience in grant management, compliance, nonprofit finance, or auditing.
  • Experience managing federal, state, and private grants.
  • Strong knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
  • Experience supporting Single Audits and grant monitoring.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for creating systems, improving processes, and partnering across departments.

Why Join YWCA?

This position offers the opportunity to make a lasting organizational impact while supporting work that changes lives throughout our community.

We offer:

  • Competitive salary of $108,000–$118,000 DOE
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Generous paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays
  • 403(b) retirement plan
  • Employer-funded retirement plan after eligibility, including a 14% employer contribution
  • Flexible remote work environment
  • Mission-driven culture focused on equity, innovation, and continuous improvement
