Senior Database Administrator

Position Overview
The Senior Database Administrator leads the operational analysis, configuration, and data transference security of large enterprise database back-ends storing terabytes of sensitive data.

Core Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and tune SQL application programming according to database normalization and industry best practices.
  • Utilize Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) tools to configure firewall rules, port specifications, and securely execute ETL transference methodologies across DB Connect calls, VPN tunnels, and SFTP.
  • Administer successful data repository solutions that support the quick querying of million-plus records and up to 5-7 terabytes of stored data.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of hands-on application development experience with ETL methodologies and Oracle back-end databases, including explicit knowledge of Oracle 19c or above.
  • At least 10 years of specialized experience (or equivalent combination of technical education and experience) in SQL and ODI.
  • At least 7 years of specialized experience managing data layouts unique to government Grant Programs.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Substitution: A minimum of 10 years of professional database work experience may substitute for the degree.
