Position Overview
The Grants and Contracts Manager oversees the full lifecycle of grants and contracts, including compliance, budgeting, reporting, funding strategy, and process improvement. This role manages grant and contract workflows, ensures regulatory compliance, tracks deliverables and expenditures, and supports proposal development. The Manager collaborates across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders, serving as a key liaison with funders, partners, vendors, and regulatory agencies. The position reports to the Director of Finance and Administration and supports organizational growth through strong administration, teamwork, and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities

Grants Management

  • Manage grant and contract professionals and oversee full grant lifecycle (pre-award through closeout).

  • Coordinate proposal development, budgeting, submission, reporting, invoicing, and compliance.

  • Monitor deliverables, timelines, expenditures, and outcomes to ensure alignment with funder requirements.

  • Maintain grant documentation, tracking systems, and reporting tools.

  • Lead process improvements and optimize grant administration systems.

  • Research funding opportunities and support strategic funding development.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with funders and strategic partners.

Contract Management

  • Oversee subcontract procurement and vendor approval processes.

  • Develop and maintain contract templates and documentation.

  • Track contract performance, deliverables, and payments to ensure contractual compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in grant, contract, or program management.

  • Experience managing federal and non-federal grants, including compliance and reporting.

  • Strong budgeting, tracking, and data management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive results.

  • Experience in labor-management or healthcare training environments preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination required.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Washington State driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Successful background check and required vaccination documentation.

  • Flexibility for occasional evening, weekend, and travel commitments.
