This position is benefits eligible. This position supports pre-award and post-award functions for the Grants Administration Office to increase and manage the College’s portfolio of public and private grants.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Research and distribute public and private funding opportunities for which the College is eligible that are aligned with the College’s funding needs.
  2. Maintain departmental lists of the College’s funding needs and of potential funders, grant programs, and timelines to fulfill those needs.
  3. Maintain a grants calendar, task assignments, and established workflow to effectively meet grant deadlines.
  4. Maintain a library of sample proposals for grant programs in the College’s forecast.
  5. Proofread grant proposals, including narratives, forms, and other attachments.
  6. Ensure compliance by assisting grant personnel with retrieval of grant-specific procurement documentation, centralizing grants’ supporting documentation, and conducting periodic reviews of grant documentation for accuracy.
  7. Support the Grants Specialist to perform reconciliations of assigned project budgets at least monthly.
  8. Maintain and update the Grants department web page as needed.
  9. Assist with the annual inventory reconciliation of grant-funded assets.
  10. Participate in relevant professional development opportunities.
  11. Demonstrate professionalism and collaboration within the Grants department and with other departments, funders, partners, and stakeholders.
  12. Other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required or five years of relevant work experience required in lieu of degree
  • At least three years’ experience in any combination of the following capacities required: 
    • budget management
    • accounting 
    • office management/assistance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required
  • Strong demonstrated organizational skills and written and oral communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required
