ROLE OVERVIEW
As Restore America’s Estuaries continues to grow, we are looking to add a collaborative, forward looking senior leader to continuously improve operations, grant management and organizational performance. We have a long track record of clean audits and compliance with all federal regulations and procurement processes. This role will manage two grant administrators, an outsourced accounting firm, and an outsourced IT firm and reports to the President.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; master’s preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in management within the nonprofit sector; preferably in the environmental or coastal sector
- Proven track record in financial management, grants administration, and operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to facilitate integrating different functions and supporting staff
- Experience with federal awards and compliance requirements; demonstrated experience working with agencies such as EPA, NOAA and Department of Interior preferred
- Expertise working in QuickBooks and Bill.com, experience with grant management systems such as Blackbaud, federal payments systems like ERA Commons
- Experience managing outsourced relationships in IT, audit and finance functions
- Knowledge of labor regulations and human resource practices; experience managing human resource activities preferred
- Fluency in spoken and written English; multi-lingual skills preferred and highly valued
- Must have prior authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship; full-time residency in the United States, with a strong preference for living near Washington, DC
- Passion for coastal conservation issues preferred
