About the Office of Grants and Financial Assistance (GFA)

GFA is a new office within the Office of the Secretary at the Department of Transportation (DOT) that was established to enhance grants management and financial assistance administration throughout DOT, including efforts to support implementation of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). This new office supports seven key functions for the Department: outreach, policy, technical assistance, training and certification, compliance, data and reporting, and internal assessment. GFA is actively recruiting for team members that are comfortable in a dynamic start-up environment and interested in the rare opportunity to support the establishment of a brand-new office to improve the management of grants and financial assistance across the Department.
