JOB SUMMARY
The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is competitively recruiting talented grants and contracts/sponsored project professionals to join our growing research administration team. Sponsored Program Services (SPS) is responsible for administering a portfolio of $375M in annually awarded funding across all UConn campuses and UConn Health. We are a top-ranked public research university and land grant institution, rurally situated in the “Quiet Corner” of Northeast Connecticut.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Post Award, this position will be responsible for providing day-to-day management and oversight over a high volume of post-award activity. This position will be hired as either a Post-Award Grants and Contracts Specialist or a Senior Post-Award Grants and Contracts Specialist, based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. It is important to note that this role will need to be conducted on site on occasion in Storrs, CT.

APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time, permanent position with an excellent benefits package including medical and retirement, as well as employee and dependent tuition waivers at the University of Connecticut. It is important to note that this role will need to be conducted on site on occasion in Storrs, CT. The target salary range for this position will be commensurate with experience: $62,834-$81,685 for the Grants and Contracts Specialist; and $70,375-$91,487 for the Senior Grants and Contracts Specialist. Other rights, terms, and conditions of employment are contained in the collective bargaining agreement between the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Professional Employees Association (UCPEA).
