Position Title: Senior Grants Management Specialist

Reports To: Department Manager
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 annual salary, DOE
Hours: 8a-5p M-F

Essential Position Functions
As the Senior Grants Management Specialist (SGMS), you bring 5+ years of experience working with federal grant programs including related statutes, regulations, policies, and processes. You understand 2 CFR 200 Compliance Standards and strictly adhere to the NGMA Code of Ethics. You have an in-depth understanding of policy and compliance guidance for federal, state, local, private, or other grant programs.
The SGMS works with clients to provide post award grants management services, compliance, preparation of contracts, billing, reimbursement requests, and reporting. The SGMS, at times, will be expected to assist with any other related special projects as requested.
A comprehension proficiency in the technology used by KJA to report and track client information, manage projects and workflow, and all communication channels is expected. Your workflow is well organized to ensure no deadline is missed. All work produced meets the KJA standards of excellence, accuracy, and timeliness. All project records and reports are organized and maintained.
The SGMS works independently or with the team to develop, analyze, and prepare periodic monthly financial reports for prompt distribution to clients. That work includes reviewing and validating client contracts, invoices, payroll and other financial records. As requested, the SGMS will also assist with budget preparation and/or amendments.
You are proficient with computer programs, software, and online federal government grants management systems. Using your critical thinking skills, you can communicate and discuss, in writing and verbally, in a clear, concise, well-organized manner, all issues that arise. You are well-organized and prioritize your work to meet all deadlines.
